My work permit is ready to expire

Hello,

My open work permit is ready to expire, it will expire in march 8th,2016. I applied for immigration in express entry and it will be picked by the end of January because I will be nominated from NS and I will get above 900 points and I have finished my Medicals and Police Clearance so once if I receive invitation from federal I can apply. so I will be picked by the end of January but after that I need to apply for bridging work permit.

1.What is the process to apply bridging work permit and how much time does it take to process and am I eligible to work after March 8th and I can stay in Canada or not.
2.Is it possible to apply for bridge work permit before the invitation from Federal

Please give me some suggestion
