My wife and I live in Canada, she is sponsoring me (She is a Canadian citizen), I have already waited for 10 months on my pr application, I passed my medical exams. Immigration have sent me a letter where they told me that my final determination for permanent residence interview will be on March 27th. My only concern is that my work permit has expired on March 10th (just 6 days ago), and I am currently without status in Canada, Am I allowed to stay in Canada without status for the next two weeks until I go to this interview? Will they refuse my pr because of this situation? Do I have to restore my status and re-apply for an open work permit as soon as possible? Thank you in advance for your help.
