My wife has Ph.D and I have bachelor degrees in engineering. Is that too big of education gap?

Personally I think not. Both professionals with university education.

May be seen differently if lots of other red flags - which are more like yellow cards in football, in the sense that it's the accumulation of them.

Also context of country and culture, factors such as arranged marriage.
