My travel dates for Canada visit visa are about to pass but I haven't received any decision on my visa application from IRCC

Hi,
I submitted/applied for the Canada visit visa online and biometrics on August 2020 from Pakistan with travels dates November 4th - November 10th 2020 mentioned in my application form, cover letter as well as on my return ticket reservation. Now almost 16 days are left and I haven't received any decision on my visa application from the IRCC. I just checked the visa processing time using their website and it is saying that I can now take almost 237 days which is a bit ridiculous. My question is that what happens if your travel dates get passed and you haven't received a decision on your visa application? and Can they still consider my visa application to make a decision if mentioned travel dates are passed?

Your dates of travel don’t mean anything as your application will be examEd & processed even after your travel dates. Times are nor ridiculous given Covid & their priority is not visitor visas at this time.
