Dear All,

Good Day!

My sister a Candian citizen, wants to invite me and my immediate family (husband and three daughters) to Canada for 10 -12 days. Purpose of visit is to meet them and see the Niagra Falls and some touristic places. She is in process of making invitation letter for same purpose. I have some queries

1) Does she need to mention details of all family members visiting to Canada or only my name and detail (as sister)?
2) in IRCC, which category I need to choose... either sister visa or brother-in-law visa

We are longtime resident of United Arab Emirates (UAE) and originally from Pakistan.

Appreciate your response.

1. Yes. Letter is least important document but should state that you will pay for all expenses.
2. There is no sister visa. It is visiting family.

You all need to show strong ties to return with permits (business, income property, approved leave with job letter, school tuition paid etc.). Not living in country of citizenship weakens application so show that you are permanent resident. Show cash in the bank, strong travel history and ties to return. Since all wanting to visit then you will have no family ties to return to so make sure you have absolute proof of return.
