Suppose I am eligible to renew my PR card now, but for some urgent reason I travelled outside Canada, and my PR expired while outside Canada. What would my options be? I may need to come back for the citizenship interview and/or oath (unless they make them accessible from outside Canada online), but then I need to go back, which means I cannot stay here for 3 months to get my new card if I leave Canada. Can I issue some document from the Canadian embassy where I would be to enter Canada each time I want to come to do the interview and/or oath, or I would have to renew it once I enter Canada?
