HI All,

Will there be any questions if the country of residence in the COPR is different from the country currently residing in?
I applied as Canadian Inland and a couple of months back have been transferred to US on a short term deputation by my employer.
Will there there be a problem in this?

Thanks,
/-

CBSA agent might ask questions but shouldn't be an issue if explained properly. Prepare good answer to this question: "When are you moving to Canada?"

Thanks. The internal process within my employer will be initiated - but it will take a couple of months and I want to finish my landing and have my cards by then.

Did my landing a week ago at Pearson
Went smooth - but please expect a Queue and a couple of hrs at least for processing. The Immigration officers were over worked - but still were helpful.
In 2015, when I and my family landed for our WP, we got it done in less than 30 minutes.

I will be moving to Nova Scotia under PNP with family. I understand landing formalities will be done at the Port of entry... Which will be Toronto for me? We have a connecting flight to Halifax. My baggage will be checked in up to Halifax, however since my landing formalities will be done at Toronto, will I be required to check out my luggage, by customs.

Yes. Because - you have to clear customs and then hand over your bags to the Airlines desk (not check in) after you walk out of customs.
Turn right after customs and you will go to Departures.

I have an urgent query regarding PR landing formalities in Canada. I will be migrating very shortly as a FSW and I have booked my flights to Toronto with transit in Montreal.
However, I do not have a CSQ and I do not intend to stay in Montreal (Quebec). Also, I have a connecting flight to Toronto in under 2 hours. Is this permitted or will I have any issues at the first PoE (Montreal)?
Sorry, for the direct contact as I am very tensed about this situation.

It won't be a problem. Just let CBSA agents at Montreal know that:
a) Direct flights to Toronto were very expensive and
b) you have connecting flight to Toronto from Montreal. Carry the proof of onward journey.

Hi Guys. I have 4 years of driving experience in the USA. In my very first year, I had a minor accident and a ticket violation. These incidents currently appear on my official driving history record. How will this impact in getting a full G licence in ON? Please advise
