We ( myself, my wife & 3 year daughter) have decided to land in Toronto to complete our landing formalaties by second week of march.

Since we will be flying back in 4 days after landing could you pls recomment a hotel to stay which is nearby to place where we can apply for SIN cards.

Since we plan to permanently move only by 2013, is it recommended to open a bank account now since we are not planning to deposit any money during our first visit.

Also is there any good tourist destinations around toronto to be seen in 4 days.Is Niagra falls near by & is there is public transport to visit the Niagra falls or is it recommended to take tours.

You can apply SIN cards later if you want. But you need a Canadian address in order to receive the PR card.

You can do it later.

You can visit the following tourist attractions in Toronto: Wonderland, Toronto Zoo, CN Tower.

I would say:
1. It is not a problem everywhere you can find the Service Canada office in Toronto (for SIN card). Near to centre city more than 10 offices are located. Other good things all offices are just walk able distance from subway station. Find an office close to your hotel/guest house, please go to the link below and enter the postal code of area where you plan to stay, or just enter Toronto and search the location. You can take taxi to reach the office it won't be expensive.

2. It is up to you, no harm to open the account as there will be no charges or fee for first year. It will be easy, safe and convenient to transfer money to your account from any part of the world.

3. In month of March still extreme cold weather and snowing will be continuing, secondly you have only 4 days to stay. There will be no much time to visit all top attraction or tourist points. Steps

1. Make looking for work a full time job. Devote 40 hours a week to this endeavor. Sometimes it takes luck to find a job, but you have to put yourself into the position to be lucky by putting in the legwork. Remember that "Chance favors the prepared mind" (Louis Pasteur).

2. Decide what you don't like about your current job and write it down. Read this list every morning. This will be a key motivator to look for a new job and it will set a criteria of what you want and don't want in your next job.

3. Update your resume. Spell check it and have it read by at least 2 or 3 friends. Let them point out errors and fix the resume. Ask them to be constructive.

4. Boost your own confidence. Tell yourself getting the right job is a 4 to 6 months process ( it will keep you less frustrated if you don't get a job right away).

5. Post your resume on major career websites. See the external links for suggestions. Set up a search agent from these websites.

6. Make an application goal. Apply for a minimum number of jobs every day. For instance, you might choose to apply for 6 jobs a day which match your closest interests. If you can't find 6 jobs in your field, find a close match and apply.

7. Apply for jobs looking at the minimum requirements. Sometimes employers ask for unrealistic qualifications, however if you apply you might hear from them still as they realize they were asking too much.

8. Apply to same job or in a same company every few days. Employers like to see the same resume 3 to 4 times. It shows enthusiasm and motivation.

9. Network.

10. Be Desirable to a Recruiter
