The take is very simple - no one can predict the future. You decide how much credence you want to give to random rumours/Whatsapp forwards/facebook posts.
The fact remains that Canada has currently a stated policy of getting ~300,000 immigrants every year, with no significant opposition from ordinary Canadians. Various programs have been criticized, and there are improvements to the system that can be made, but it's definitely not that Canadians have decided they don't want immigrants any more.
Naturally, the government of the day will make whatever changes they want, but if you think that Canada will overnight close the doors, that's not very likely at all.
My advice to you is to not worry too much about elections, changes to policy etc.
