Hi,
I applied for spousal sponsorship (inland) last August, my medical is coming up to being a year old now. I just logged into my cic account just to have a look and the section that is about the medicals says: we have requested a medical exam. check your messages.
Well I don't have any messages!
I didn't know the medical would need to be re-done, whats the point in an upfront medical if they know the process takes longer than a year!!!
I sent them a case specific enquiry but I'm not sure if I will need a new medical!!
Does anyone know how long after a medical request I might receive a decision on the PR?

You need to call ircc to make sure if its true or not for you. They had a major breakdown on monday and lots of people received messages about medical but no added info like you mentioned. They said it was a system problem and they are trying to fix it.

Call them to find out whether or not they did or did not request a medical just to be safe.

I just called to 1-888-242-2100 number & it says "additional docs have been received & medical has been requested" , so phone system has glitch like online portal as well or we can rely on this? On my online portal i got no message but CIC telephone line says they recived my documents & requested medical

Call and speak to an actual person. The online account and automated machines are linked so you will hear the same info in both places.

Its little bit different than before, i.e - for documents it used to say "we requested additinal documents" but today it says" additional docs u provided have been uploaded", still don't see any upload button or dont see any msg.....lol....will call them tomorrow to check whats going on

Can we call this number from India?

You should be able to, try different mobile apps to make the call because wait time is around 25-30mins always

Yap they did receive Sch A & PCC, CIC rep just checked & replied

Do you still have the "We have request a medical exam..." message in your Application Status? I have the same problem, called but they said they didn't request, and it is a system glitch, my concern is how I am gonna know when they actually need it, if the message is also the same for months!

Thats a glitch they are saying but its better to check with them if its true or false positive. I asked when it will be fixed, CIC rep doesnmt even know.....lol.....but gckey is still working & some updates are actually true so if u are confused just give them a call & check
