Hello everyone, my PR application was rejected this morning. They explained is because of my WES.
I had a bachelor's degree in my country and a master's degree in Canada. I still provided all the documents of my bachelor, including the WES. But it was my fault I didn’t apply the WES for immigration purposes. Instead, I just used the document which I applied for my master. Can anybody tell me is this the only reason I was rejected from cic?

It's impossible for us to say without seeing the full text of your refusal letter.

Sorry, I don't know how to insert a picture. Here is the explanation letter from CIC,

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has reviewed your application for permanent residence. We have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of a complete application as described in sections 10 and 12.01 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. Your application is rejected for being incomplete.

Specifically, your application does not include the following elements:

- Education Credentials: o A completed Education Credential Assessment (ECA) issued for immigration purposes was not included with your electronic application. This document is required based on the education details you provided in your Express Entry profile. Please consult our website in order to determine the required document. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...xpress-entry/documents/educationassessed.html

Note: A full review of your application was not performed. There may be other elements, not identified above, which may also be missing or incomplete.

Which degree did you use to claim points for ITA and which ECA did you submit for your application?

It seems like the ECA that you mentioned in your profile did not show up or was for the wrong degree.

Which program are you applying for?
And did you apply for course-by-course or document-by-document WES report? I think that you should use "send to IRCC" to generate your report, cause that's supposely for immigration purpose.

I used my Master's degree for the points. And I provided WES for my bachelor's degree. But I didn't upgrade my WES for immigration purposes. I just used the old report which I applied for my masters degree. The reason I used this report is because I thought my bachelor's degree won't add any points to my result, I actually didn't need to provide this report. Also, some of my friends also used the report like me to the CIC, and they got their PR already. So I was wondering why I was cancelled for this reason.

Hi, I was under CEC. And yes, I should use "for immigration purpose" option, but I provided the report that I used for applying for schools. Do you think this is the only reason I was pulled out?

I think so because they rejected your application for being "incomplete".
But I do find it strange cause I read that they only verify your highest education. Maybe IRCC became stricter recenlty..
Did your friends also put bachelor's degree in the education session of their EE profile, provided the same WES report and got approved?

Yes, i was confused too. I felt like they didn't fully review my education background yet, and refused my application only for the WES. My friend was under the same situation, and they got the PR already last year. I asked three of them in the same situation. That is why I didn't think too much for my WES too

Can you appeal and clarify the situation? Maybe your application will be restarted.

Wait, this is not clear? So you claimed points for Masters degree and then submitted the WES ECA for your bachelors degree? Or did you provide for both masters and bachelors degree? And if you provided ECA for masters degree, how old was it? Was it older than 5 years?

Why would she need an eca is the question. Her master's is from canada and they don't need an eca. This is weird. You must file for an appeal asap

I do not need ECA for my masters degree since I received it in Canada. But I provide WES (ECA) for my bachelor, within 5 years.
