Hi,
Visa validity and length of stay are two different things.
Visa validity (the dates you see on your issued visa stamped/counterfoil on your passport) refers to the length of time until when you can use the visa to enter/travel into Canada. It does not mean until when you can stay in Canada.
The length of stay per entry is determined at the port of entry by:
- a stamp in your passport showing the date until when you can stay
- if there is no stamp and you are not issued a separate document known as a Visitor Record, then it is deemed 6 months from date of entry
- if you have been issued a visitor record - then there are dates in that document that specify until when you can stay in the country
/hope this helps....
