Single entry is six month. You can apply to extend it once in Canada or apply for a Super Visa within Canada.
The applications are sent to the Calgary office. If you need more information just go the Canadian Government website they have all the forms and instructions of how to apply or extend a visa.

Hi,

Visa validity and length of stay are two different things.

Visa validity (the dates you see on your issued visa stamped/counterfoil on your passport) refers to the length of time until when you can use the visa to enter/travel into Canada. It does not mean until when you can stay in Canada.

The length of stay per entry is determined at the port of entry by:
- a stamp in your passport showing the date until when you can stay
- if there is no stamp and you are not issued a separate document known as a Visitor Record, then it is deemed 6 months from date of entry
- if you have been issued a visitor record - then there are dates in that document that specify until when you can stay in the country

/hope this helps....
