I came to Canada as a student and now I have a valid work permit until 2017. I applied for multiple entry visa and during the application, I selected current country of residence as Canada but the application page is showing "Application for visitor visa made outside of Canada" (IMM5257) although when I clicked it downloaded an IMM5257E form. I filled it and uploaded digital copies of my work permit, passport and photo. Now they have sent a mail asking for the passport to be mailed to them. It doesn't ask for any other document. But my friends who have applied before say that I need to upload a checklist which tells about family information form, employer offer letter, etc. What am I doing wrong? Are they needed if you are applying online ?
