Multi-country travel on Citizenship Application

Hi everyone,

I am preparing my Canadian Citizenship application online and have hit a major roadblock regarding how to enter a continuous multi-country trip in the Physical Presence / Travel History section without causing contradictions across the rest of my application.
Here is my exact travel timeline during my eligibility period:

• Left Canada: August 12, 2023
• Arrived in Pakistan: August 14, 2023 (Stayed until September 12, 2024)
• Left Pakistan / Arrived in Saudi Arabia: September 12, 2024 (Religious visit / Umrah for 3 weeks)
• Returned directly to Canada: October 4, 2024

The Dilemma:
In my Address History and Tax/Employment History sections, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are listed as completely separate entries. I spent over a year in Pakistan, so I have also uploaded my Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for Pakistan from past conversations.
However, in the Physical Presence section, since I did not return to Canada between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, I am forced to log this as one continuous absence window from August 12, 2023, to October 4, 2024.
If I list the primary country of the absence as "Pakistan" and only write a brief description about Saudi Arabia in the 150-character sub-box, I am worried it will look like an inconsistency. The system calculation treats the whole block under a single entry, which seems to contradict my residence, tax, and PCC sections where the two countries are separated.

My Questions:

1. Is it normal for the Physical Presence calculator to group a multi-country trip into a single entry like this, even if it looks like it contradicts the individual country lines in the Address and Tax sections?
2. Will IRCC background check officers automatically understand the link between my single physical presence absence row and my separated address/tax histories?
3. Should I include a formal Letter of Explanation (LoE) to explicitly break down why these sections look different, or is the system designed to expect this for back-to-back travel?

I want to dive a bit deeper into your answer for #1 because that is where my main confusion lies.

If I select "Pakistan" as the primary country from the drop-down menu for this single absence row, my worry is that the system generates a summary that reads as a continuous stay in Pakistan from August 2023 to October 2024.

Because the "reason/comments" text box has a very strict 150-character limit, I can only fit a tiny note like: "Visited Pakistan to see family. Then went to Saudi Arabia on Sept 12, 2024 for a 3-week religious visit (Umrah). Returned to Canada Oct 4, 2024."

My concern is that in the Address History and Tax History sections of the application, I have logged Saudi Arabia as a completely separate residential line item for those 3 weeks, and I've explicitly uploaded a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for Pakistan that covers only my time there.

Does the IRCC online portal check the physical presence "primary country" dropdown against the address history fields automatically? If the calculator summary page only registers the destination country as "Pakistan" for that entire block, will an officer flag it as a contradiction since Saudi Arabia isn't logged as a distinct physical presence destination column row, or is putting it in the tiny 150-character reason box truly the standard way everyone handles back-to-back country trips?
