Yes she did submit it to the local office in Winnipeg.

I applied through the general stream because the Aunt sponsoring me is the first cousin of my mother. My Aunt's sister is also involved in the sponsorship.

...GUYS...just want to share this...WE'RE so HAPPY...we just received our LOA today the letter date June 26, 2012....THANK YOU LORD....YOU ARE REALLY THE BEST.....

here is our timeline

under FSS

December 2011 - mpnp application filed in winnipeg manitoba
March 2012 - AOR
June 22, 2012 - sponsor's interview
July 25, 2012 - LOA dated June 26, 2012

Thank you Lord for the blessing!....nothings impossible with YOU!....
Congratulations!

I told you your LOA will be issued within a week after the interview. I believe it was mailed to you, the applicant, that is why it took so long for you to know the decision. If it was mailed to you Manitoba relative then you should have known about it much earlier.

Good luck on the next steps!

God bless :)

Hi all,

I need advice.
My boyfriend and I wants to migrate to Canada.
From my research, I realized that appyling for Manitoba as provincial nominee is the easiest way to migrate because we don't have any relatives living in Canada.
Since we are not married yet, we are planning that he will apply first for MPNP and when he receives his LOA, that's the time we get married, change his status and add me as my dependant. My concern is if he is eligible to apply.

Here is his profile:
Single
Age is 26
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
2 yrs and 7 months full-time experience (engineering)
know one family friend in Manitoba and is willing to support him socially
IELTS - not taken yet
Financial statement - not enough yet

We are planning to take IELTS this September. The problem is the financial statement. His financial statement does not reach $10k CAD. But he has a house which he still pays for the monthly amortization.
Can he send his application to Manitoba (thru mail - general stream) even without financial statement yet?

I hope to receive a response.
I will appreciate any opinion and advice.

Thank you

Hello! He is qualified as he has more than 2 years experience, and your plan is okay.. to get married once he received his LOA and just update his file with his marriage status later on. You need to have 2 sponsors so it will help your application to push better. Even you dont have relatives.. Friend will be okay. In your case, you need one more.. :)

With regards to the finanacial.. It is neccessary for you guys to submit the statement together with the application. It is a requirement, and mind you the letter of bank certification should come with 3 months banking transaction history. Your 3 months history should not show a huge deposit if you will plan to borrow from someone else.

Hope this helps. :)

Are you eligible to apply to the MPNP??

The MPNP eligibility criteria are designed to help you determine if you have the potential to successfully find a job and settle as a permanent resident of Manitoba.

You are eligible to apply as a priority applicant and receive expedited processing online if you meet one of options A, B, C or D.

A. You have been working for at least six months in Manitoba as a temporary foreign worker (with a valid temporary work permit) and your employer has offered you a full-time, long-term job.

B. As an International Student in Manitoba you have been working for at least six months (with a valid post-graduation work permit) and your employer has offered you full-time employment.

C. You have been invited to apply under a Strategic Initiative.

D. You have a strong connection to Manitoba through having family who live in the province, and you meet the following five factors.

1. Age
You are between 21 and 49 years old.

People in this age range can manage the cultural, linguistic and economic challenges involved in moving to work in a new country, including the possible need to retrain or pass rigorous certification or licensing processes for some jobs.

2. Education
You completed secondary (high) school and have at least one year post-secondary education or training for which you earned a post-secondary diploma or degree.

People who have completed some post-secondary education can better meet the qualification requirements of Manitoba employers and adapt to the changing demands of the workplace.

3. Work Experience
You have at least two years of full-time work experience in the past five years.

Having recent employment helps ensure that you have the skills and experience that are in demand in Manitoba, helping you find a job in your intended occupation and increasing your potential for long-term career success.

4. Language Ability
You completed your secondary and post-secondary education in English or French, or scored at least 5 on an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test. (New language requirements)

The experience of many thousands of people from around the world who have moved to Manitoba through the MPNP shows that the key challenge of immigrants is they needed better English language skills.

Having at least this level of English, and being willing to improve your language skills, will help you get a good job, participate in training and licensing or certification programs that will help you meet the occupational demands and get ahead in the Manitoba workplace.

5. Adaptability
With your application you must submit a Settlement Plan that explains the steps you will take to establish your career and your home in Manitoba and have your plan endorsed by a close relative who has lived in Manitoba as a permanent resident for at least one year.

Settling in Manitoba as a permanent resident will take a period of adjustment. You need to be able to support yourself and your family during that time. Having the (non-financial) support of family who live in Manitoba will increase your potential for success.

thx my friend for yr advice ..
i just want to explain and ask about something else ...

first what about sasketchewan??
second what about if i have no one in canada except one friend lives in toronto??

about me:
i am 36 years old and single
i have more than 10 years work experience in restaurant and food services in Egypt including 4 years as restaurant manager
i have more than 15 CDR bank account
my English is good according to the british council level test
i have a bachaler in animal science - faculty of agriculture - cairo university (i have also some experience in my study feild)
some training certificates during my studying
many English courses certificates and "basic in french"

as i said i got rejection one month later because of my ielts score but i want to reapply one more time
i know that skilled workers immigration program stops accepting any files till mid of 2013
so i found that the provincial nomination program is good for me..

i thought of manitoba or sasketchewan (they are suitable for me i guess)

i am confused about some steps in the process from the begining ..
first what about job offer ?? i mean shoud i get job offer first of all from an employer in the province ??which means i have to contact any employer in canada by email or whatever to obtain an official letter to proove that i have an offer???? if is true tell me plz how to start..

and after that should i submit my application to the province adress attached with my job offer letter??

and then after i get acceptance..should i submit my main application to the centerlized intake in canada and so on ??

what about the processing time??
what about fees??? is there two application fees??one to the province and the other to the centerlized intake??? how is that??

plz my dear help me to get understanding and to know how to start ...
thank u very much
much appreciated
