Hi MP Nominees,

I'm also a MP nominee and arrived here in winnipeg 3 yrs. ago. This is a nice place to live and there is a lot of opportunities waiting for everybody. Don't need to worry for jobs as long as you are willing to do works out of your profession for the mean time you'll be fine. For those who wants to gain friends here in winnipeg you can join our Facebook Group Page "TEAM MANILA", all the members are immigrants from philippines. Good Luck to everybody and have a safe trip.

Hi Kulilit,
You are correct! Winnipeg is a very nice place and safe to live. You can easily find job for as long as you are not choosy. You can find Pinoys everywhere you go... You're so nice Kulilit. God Bless..

Yes mylynie. I received my LOA may 20 but it was dated April 30. My aunt was interviewed twice, around February and April.

Even the AOR from them was about 2mos late. Canadian are not particular with our postmail address which cause some delay as well.

Hindi na rin kasi ganun kabilis ang postmail sa atin, kasi nga emails na lang kadalasan ginagamit ng mga tao. And marami na ring mga 1 day mail delivery services.

Good news everyone, from atty Cohen...

* Canada increases the number of visas available through the provincial nomination programs:

The Government of Canada increased the number of visas that may be issued this year for Canadian permanent residence under the provincial nomination programs. Citizenship and Immigration Canada decided to increase the numbers beyond what was originally promised earlier this year. This year, Alberta will now receive 5,000 immigrants under the Alberta Immigrant Nomination Program (AINP); British Columbia’s provincial nomination program will receive 3,500; Saskatchewan will receive 4,000, and Manitoba will receive 5,000.

Sana masama tayong lahat sa 5,000 na iyan this year... Major-major na lamig naman ang haharapin natin! God bless everyone!

Well I know you are not alone, di lang nagpapakita ang mga ka batchmates mo. Don't worry, kung na deny ka na, mas mabilis ang sulat na matatanggap mo. Darating din yan. Just keep the faith.

:D :Dvery good news indeed! hopefully the majority(if not all) of those 5,000 will come from the Philippines! :o

thanks for sharing balotpenoy! :D

I think Canadian are very professional when it comes to timeline. Malamang along the way na sya. May application was submitted Oct 30, 2009 and may LOA was dated Apr 30, 2010. Exactly 6 mos, but I got hold of it only on May 20.

Hi mylynie,
I was feeling so bored yesterday, I read again from the beginning of this forum the blogs of the members. I have noticed na there are member/s na 2007 pa nag apply pero they got hold of their LOA only recently. For as long as you don't receive a denial letter, you have to keep your faith that LOA is on its way to your doorstep. God Bless...
