Hello, I am new here. I plan to submit my application after I get my IELTS results in April. How long does it take for the entire application to complete?

I'm Filipino and my sponsor is a friend non-Filipino Manitoban.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Ronster, welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, there is no definite timeline for the complete process. Manitoba has stated that they want to narrow down the time to 6 months for the nominations. This has not happened as some of us are waiting for 12 months already and our status is still only received.

To be conservative, the MPNP process can take anything from 6 - 18 months and CIC process can take anything from 6 - 18 months. All you can do is submit and believe, hope & pray for the best outcome.

Best of luck to you buddy.

Kind regards,

Druce

I don't agree with you Mbgirlfriend. Applications of those within Canada were processed faster than those abroad last year because the quota apportioned for overseas applications was exhausted at some point this led to MPNP stopping the collection of applications in July 2014. However, they were attending to those within Canada because their quota wasn't exhausted. Read MPNP site very well. Before now you get your LOA within 6 months whether you are within or outside Canada.

It doesn't matter if you agree with me, I have read the MPNP site and it is clearly stated on there that they process applications in order of strength and if you are living and working in Manitoba already then you are considered to have a very strong application. Here is the link to that information and a quote from this link.

This is why the MPNP processes the strongest applicants first by selecting those with confirmed employment, job-ready English, training and work experience indicating potential for employability and/or strong family connections.
