Hi mcems,
Just try to write Manila since it clearly indicates in the application guide that you can write your country of nationality or the country which you currently reside. CIC will determine which VO they will send your application anyway.
(this is only my personal opinion)

Tnx

thank you, i thought of doing that.

Now I'm so confused. I submitted my application online in jan 2014. My sponsor submitted sp2 in feb by visiting the embassy... not online. Feb 22 I got AOR by email.

Does this mean they received my sp2? Bcuz I didn get any confirmation email about submitting sp2.

Hi Ferrari:

It seems so. What does your AOR say? To be sure, it would not hurt to ask MPNP if they have received your SP2. They usually sends an email to acknowledge the receipt of your SP2.

Hi all you beautiful people!

Just a couple of questions

Have any of the 2014 MPNP applicants status changed from Received ?

Will Manitoba continue assessing any 2014 cases this year or are we doomed to wait for 2015?

There are some who just applied July change status to Assessment Pending. Check this worksheet for more info.. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsRLPEaX_tE_dHl6ZzNtWHRJOTZlVDY1dk1LY3JyRmc&usp=drive_web#gid=2

Hello Druce, may I ask you are currently residing in Canada or you are applying online from country outside of canada?

Cheers!

Wow, unbelieveable, how could that happen? Only three months and the status have been changed to Assessment Pending? What the standards for these guys assess the documents, don't they do this by the timing they got the application request? I really confused. Anyway, congratulations to these July guys, and wish we will get assessment soon. God bless everyone.

Hi Winnie,

Yes, I am currently living in South Africa and have applied from here, online, FS. The waiting is killing me though :P

This seems to be the odd case of only 2/3 files. The bulk still shows Application Received and it does not seem that there are any updates/changes/response from MPNP for the last 6 months?

Hi!,

Any good news today???

Hi Warblade,

Not to be negative but I think MPNP is currently busy with July/August 2013 applications and the odd case that is post those dates.

I do not understand on what merit they decide which cases to assess first and why they do not do it per the timeline the applications has been submitted?

Maybe someone else has some idea and can inform us?

Thanks druce...

Lets just hope for the best!!!!!!!

Good day Druce!

This may help...

"The MPNP is based on a bilateral agreement with the Government of Canada which requires the province to thoroughly and consistently pre-screen all applicants to ensure that each nominee has a clearly demonstrated potential to become a successful economic immigrant to Manitoba."

"This is why the MPNP processes the strongest applicants first by selecting those with confirmed employment, job-ready English, training and work experience indicating potential for employability and/or strong family connections."

For the pre-assessment stage, I believe the MPNP utilizes the "Self-Assessment Worksheet" and verifies the applicant's score with the verifiable submitted documents. Therefore, the applicant's score in this worksheet is vital for the MPNP to decide which cases are the strongest...

Good luck!

Thank you all for the positive replies!

Yes Winnie, it really is a beautiful country. Where did you visit in the country? The Political situation is influencing the minority groups heavily though, it is not a "rainbow nation" anymore and the future does not look too bright for us (previously "advantaged" groups).

Yes Warblade, your reply does make some sense....but the whole process cant be based on this alone. If it was based only on this and not by the timeline as well, you will have a whole group not being assessed at all as new applications get submitted daily that is stronger than some submitted the previous day, week, month, year....you get the point. They have to work through ALL the applicants even if it is just to decline you, and for this they need to work according to when aplications are submitted.

On the 2013 forum I have just read that the following - meaning they are now busy with August/September 2013 apps:\

My sponsor just had his interview a while ago. Cheesy
Status is still "in process" after 6 weeks since it change on Sept 2.
The officer told him that they will send the result within a month! Hope for a positive outcome.
