Thank you for sharing the response you received from NDVO.

I think by outside agencies they mean, Local Police Authorities, Anti Terrorism Watch groups, etc. This is the first time I hear about this.

Can someone else please elaborate on this subject?

Hi jarri, sorry about the confusion, we were all talking about CIC Application getting background checks. This is totally different from MPNP checks.

This depends from case to case. With MPNP I only sent a letter from my employer and my employer was never contacted. They might have verified my working place through some other means (online search, website of company, linkedin etc.) though.

With CIC you only need to fill in the form on your work history. They do background checks and might even phone the employer.

I guess the answer is that they do verification at both stages, the methods I am not too sure about.

I agree on this point as a my case inquiry was done from my neighbour by some unknown persons from our local area only and my neighbour told me about this. After a weeks time my sponsor was interviewed. So, it makes this clear.

2-3 months for AOR. If you have not received it after 3 months you can call and query it.

Hi,

I'm writing this email to inquire about the status of my MPNP FILE# *****.
I have applied in july'14 and my sponsor furnished the supporting SP2 document in the same month.In MPNP's online portal, status of my application is "Assessment Pending".

I'm aware that MPNP does not accept file status inquiries and cannot guarantee processing times but it's 18 months now since i applied, which is much longer that the general information available in the public forums about the processing time of 9-12 months.

If possible could you please let me know by when can i expect any change in file status or if any document required holding further processing of file.

Please be advised that your application is still in process. Once a decision has been made, you will receive notification in writing of the outcome.

Manitoba cannot guarantee processing times for any application because each application is assessed on its own merits and each requires follow-up with applicants and supporters to ensure program integrity.

As of now, there are no requests for additional documents from you.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program does not accept inquiries about the status of applications - neither by email, post, telephone nor in person. Registered users of MPNP Online can log in to the program's web application to check the status of applications.

You can log on to: web6.gov.mb.ca/sso/Account/LogOn using the same Username and Password used to submit the application.

The MPNP is based on a bilateral agreement with the Government of Canada which requires the province to thoroughly and consistently pre-screen all applicants to ensure that each nominee has a clearly demonstrated potential to become a successful economic immigrant to Manitoba.

This is why the MPNP processes the strongest applicants first by selecting those with confirmed employment, job-ready English, training and work experience indicating potential for employability and/or strong family connections.

Applicants who use the online application tool receive faster processing than people applying via regular mail (post).

Please refrain from asking for status updates as it takes time away from assessing the application.

Hi. Lastly after waiting almost 3 months...


MPNP has emailed me that they have received my application(full set of application via Fedex) and consider it as complete. they wrote in the mail that my application is in processing.

They mailed me and gave me a ""UCI number and Application Number"".

Now pls tell me what to do next..

Hi msingh01,

Hang in there. I feel and understand your frustration.
While your MPNP application is on its 18th month, mine took 20 months prior to LOA (imagine that).
I myself made my online MPNP application last February 4, 2014 and got my LOA confirmed only last October 30, 2015 (20 months wait)... This is really testing our patience and perseverance, my friend ....

Now, I'm at CIC Stage (which is another waiting game) with AOR and awaits for MR ...

my question is mpnp some Relaxation for those candidate whoes apply for outside winnipeg like in IELTS band , some application so week but they accept and some are strong but to much weight.
any idea ?
