How long does it take for one to receive the MR following AOR from CIC?

Rx
depends upon officer to officer and officer's observations about your file. if officer is satisfied from all the papers are well documents and arranged and are truthful, then it take less time otherwise it takes more time. but more time is better to avoid the re-medicals.

Hi Seniors,
I have a question, In background declaration under question #6,if the answer is YES to one of the question,(example, have been refused permanent residency in Canada), should I attach a copy of refusal letter or i will just make a written explanation on what happened to the previous application..i read from the checklist that we should not send any additional documents when submitting the application to cio..

appreciate your replies..
tnx

Hi rosy cheeks!

Was the refusal letter came from MPNP or from CIC?

If the letter came from MPNP, I don't think it is necessary for you to say 'Yes' in the background declaration because you haven't applied yet for permanent residency. In MPNP stage, you are just seeking for the province nomination and not about permanent residency.

But if the letter came from CIC, then definitely you have to say 'Yes' and explain the reason behind the refusal on the space provided. Better if you could quote any reference number or date of the refusal letter.

I actually do not have a relation anywhere in Canada, my daughter is just there on her own under study permit. SHe comes home during hoilidays as there are no places to go. I believe that since she is a minor and a student - that should not be taking as a strong ties. We are ready to change her school and she is not on PR. I pray the Lord shows me mercy. I dont want to tell a lies so did not hide the information from my form.

Just mention directly the reason for the refusal and the reference file number.

I believe those are enough.

I'm confident that your record is intact in the CIC's database.

Hi guys,

What happens if the IELTS certification expires after receiving the LOA? would that mean getting the IELTS exam again for the CIC?

TIA.
