Hi Clarence,

I'm a bit confused with family stream and general stream. When I check the manitoba website, there is no more family stream or general stream stated.
How would I know which stream I belong?

Thank you

MPNP already abolished the stream last year. I couldn't recall which month. If I'm correct it was starting April 2013. All application are under one stream.

Here is a guide to know if your Family Stream :
To be considered a close relative, a Manitoba Supporter must be related to the applicant (or the applicant's spouse) in one of the following ways:

sister or brother
niece or nephew (ie. child of your sister or brother)
aunt or uncle (ie. brother or sister of your mother or father)
first cousin (ie. child of your aunt or uncle)
mother or father
grandmother or grandfather

For General Stream :
A distant relative or friend.

HI FV,

Is seems MPNP have slowed down processing GS. It's been quite a while since we have an update for GS. We're in for a very loonnng wait.

Hope they start processing all our application this week.....

Hi 02clar3nc325,

Yes, I noticed that too in our timeline. Only applications under FS are moving. I hope MPNP will start processing GS applicants this week.

Thanks.

Hi Foever Victory,

Is it possible for you to let me know how can I authorize my supporter in Manitoba to receive my LOA (when I get it) in favor of me. Because missing or prolonged delay of delivery of letters is very common in my country those are send via normal post. My friend will send me via courier so that I can get it quickly, if MPNP issued a LOA for me.

Thanks and reagrds

Log on to your mpnp account and change the mailing address or email mpnpsupporter@gov.mb.ca. Use yout mb file no as the subject. The body of the email should be brief. Indicate the previous and current mailing address and state your full name.

congrats tabs179!! i am so happy for you...

hi guys,

i have some questions regarding our cic application..

1.) my wife's ielts result already expired but when we applied for mpnp it was still valid. now that we're nominated, my question is, can my wife still use the same ielts result in applying to cic or does she need to take another ielts exam?

2.) we plan to pay the fees online. is it recommended to pay the fees ahead of time? or should we pay it closer to the day we submit our application?

thanks in advance guys... god bless...

for financial documents, suppose the wife is the principal applicant, can she submit bank statements under her spouse's name (not joint accounts)? thanks in advance for the replies.

Thanks noypi. I cannot answer no.1 question because I never did IELTS, let's wait for others to answer this for no. 2 here is my piece of advice. It is your choice, whatever is the most convenient and less stressful for you.

In my case, I paid both the visa processing and the RPRF online. Because of the following reasons: (1) Most of my savings are in a UK bank account, and if I pay separately, I will be charged twice, paying one time is cheaper and (2) when you pay your RPRF later, they accept only bank draft and I have no idea how to pay that, which will cause me extra stress to find out how these things work and I really don't like to deal with banks (particularly in the Philippines), which comes to (3) I might also need to transfer money to Philippines from UK and therefore yet another stress for me and additional cost.

So, if you are like me, then you would rather pay both at one time. And I hope that paying both will also quicken the process of my application (even for only a week or two LoL).

.../hth

Yes, you can submit bank statement under the principal applicant spouse's name provided he/she is joining you in Canada. This is true in my case.

Apply for permanent residency at CIC. When did you submit your application?
