Hi Forza,
Congrats to you!
Can I just check if your VO was originally assigned to Manila? I presume you were based in S'pore from the police checks and my understanding from similar forums that S'pore processing is much slower than Manila?
Thanks..

Hi studd578,

I chose Manila as my VO as it is much faster in processing the application, though, I am based here in Singapore. :)

Hi, is there any body July 2013 applicant in GS Friend stream whose sponsors interview has been done.

Thanks

I also applied under general stream, although my relative was a close relative (my mother's brother). I couldn't meet the work experience requirements under General Stream. But I know that since April 2013, there is a new MPNP policy, they have now made all the streams under one application a point based system. Unless you applied earlier than that.

You might be right that there is a possibility that you won't need all these BCs because your relation is 'distant'. However, think about this in a different perspective, you are the case worker. You received an application, the applicant stated that he and the sponsor are distant relatives. It says so on the forms and also on the SP1 and SP2. However, there are no other evidence because your birth certificate cannot show your blood link to your sponsor. So, the case worker wonders how you are related.

On the other hand, the case worker might still accept your application, but will only base it as friends under adaptability, which won't affect your scores anyway as friends and distant relatives carry the same points (under the new policy).
@Tabs179, your good comments /advises are noted.
Thanks so much.

Hi Mechanical Nursing,

Actually, I didn't receive any acknowledgement that they have received the payment for the RPRF. That's why, I am a bit worried. I did the same thing, went to RCBC then proceed for my medical in IOM. Normally, it takes 1 month after your status changed to "In process" you will receive the Passport Request. When the hospital submitted the medical results to embassy, that is the start of your 1 year visa expiration. ;)

Goodluck! :)
