No. Only 1 supporter will fill up the settlement plan 2 which will be sent via by MPNP to his email. That plan is crucial for the application.

Before it required 2 sponsors for general stream, now, just one for a friend or family support.

Cousin is not a sibling

Hi darekoo, thank you for correcting me. Yes even though it is not siblings, cousins are also considered relatives and that might affect the applicant because of stronger connection with another province; these facts are based on what I read in the MPNP website.

I have submitted my Mail application to MPNP on 25 June,2013.

I got my AOR/file number on 20 August 2013.

But till now i did not receive any response from MPNP neither my sponsor received the same.

Please guide ..

You have to wait because your sponsor will be interviewed and after which, you will be asked to submit the Settlement Plan 2. After you've submitted the Settlement Plan 2, they will review your application if there are missing documents. Then you will receive the LOA. Mine took 3 months.

Patience is a virtue.

I am very new to this forum and mistakenly paid an agency to help me asses my documents which can all be found here in the forum.

Just a few question if you can help me answer some.

1. Does a friend staying in Manitoba for 3 mos. as a PR can sponsor?
2. I have a sister in Toronto though having some issue with her papers and currently no legal document, would that be an issue in the application in case?
3. Same scenario as my wife have 3 Aunt in Toronto, cousin and Grand mother, would that be an issue as well?

For your questions..
1. Your friend needs to he a PR in manitoba for at least one year before he can sponsor you.
2 & 3. Having strong connections in other parts of canada would be an issue because they will have a notion that you will not stay in manitoba..

But, if there is someone who can sponsor you (friend/distant relative PR for at least one year), maybe making your wife as principal applicant is better and just dont declare her connections in toronto.

And what do you mean your sister is having problems with her documents in toronto? U asked this because you need to declare your sibling informations as well.

My answers are based on limited knowledge as I am also new here.. So for our forum elders, please correct me if I'm wrong

And about guess, first i was expecting to have it
In september but at last MPNP required some docs from me.
And i am damn sure my LOA is on the way for me.

Hi all.

After all info I have gathered till now, I am left with these questions.Kindly guide me.

I understand my real brother in Alberta can weaken my case. But I have real cousin in Winnipeg.

which solution sounds good ?

1. My brother can go/move to Winnipeg just when my cousin applies fro LOA as he is well settled in Alberta ?
2. What if he goes to Manitoba and have all docs,Health card,Address etc but work in Alberta ?
3. What if we - brothers never had a good relation ?

When my sponsor was interviewed, they asked a specific question regarding my relatives in Toronto because I'm applying for Manitoba. In my opinion, better declare only relatives/family members staying on the Province you are applying to. Good thing my sponsor was wise enough to give reasons why we chose Manitoba rather than Toronto.

I know there is no fixed timeline for all applications
but i want share my case
I applied online under MPNP-FS on 1/6/2013
AOR 2/6/2013
Submitted SP2 on 28/6

Till this date no updates and I check my email every day no request or any news from them
now it has been around 4 months till application submit with no any news
what is ur advice for me ?
