I'm very happy now people - LOA arrived in the mail yesterday, 18 March 2014, to my sponsor's address. From the scanned copy sent to me by my sponsor, the LOA is dated 31-October-2013, which happens to be the date of sponsor interview but it was only mailed last week, 10-March-2014. The good news is that an additional letter of extension of the LOA is also attached, dated 10-March-2014, specifying application deadline of 10-September-2014.

I'm still at a loss as to the reason why a letter dated 31-October-2013 will be sent almost 5 months after? Explanations will be welcome from forumites.

For all those who are waiting for their LOA, be rest assured that it will surely come soonest.

I encountered the same.

My sponsor was interviewed last Nov 6. And I followed up the status of my application last end of Feb and I was informed that they already sent my LOA last Nov 27. Since I did not receive anything, I requested for another copy. I received it last Mar 5 and the LOA date was Nov 23. There was an amendment letter attached, with the dates Feb 27 - Aug 27. Supposedly, the LOA will expire on May 23.

Maybe something went wrong during those months, Oct - Nov, that's why LOA's were delayed. So, for those who got their sponsor's interview for the last quarter of 2013. It is advisable to try to follow up.
