For those (Filipinos) who haven't got their visa and need to renew your passports, there is a new DFA Branch at Alabang, located at ATC, Metro Department Store.

I wrote a blog about it: http://tabs179.wordpress.com/2014/01/21/renewing-my-passport-at-dfa-alabang-branch-2/

Informative blog, Tabs179. I was going to ask for a blog about NBI Clearance but unfortunately you mentioned it already here so i guess you won't write about it..... :'(

Congratulations on Medicals Received. So, you and I are just waiting for PPR.

You must have provided them medical documents about his hernia. And you must have told them that you decided to have surgery in the Philippines. Because when I had my medicals I provided them medical documents on my gall bladder operation last 5 December 2013. Hernia is not as serious as other diseases and if they didn't ask you to return then, woot, PPR is next.

I suggest not unless they ask for it. ;) Wait for any instructions.

Sorry, my NBI processing at Alabang was so awful. I came at 8.30 and the number they gave me was for 1.30pm appointment. I didn't know what to do all morning. I didn't know the area much and I can't go home because there weren't any transportation at that time to return (they start at 3.30pm). So, tired, sleepy and bored - I returned at 1.30pm to find a looooooooooooooong line to get a form (and people were even cutting queues), then another line to pay, then after that line, you go to another line for encoding, etc. Each procedure will take around 1-2 hours, and I finished at 5.30pm. To which, I even have to return because I am 'hit', because I share the same name as my mother. It was also extra excruciating because I have gall bladder stones at that time, so my health condition wasn't at its peak.

Thanks for the short info. I'm just curios because of the news I heard that it was a nightmare getting NBI Clearance. Based from your experience and the news I've seen on TV indeed it was hard having one.

still preparing visa application to cic.. just confuse with the payment, do i have to pay it in advance or i just send it together with my application? pls help.

Ahhh
Thats great.
Thanks

Hello 02clar3nc325, I need your advice , in generic form, it says, you must provide details each of your family member, all of your dependent children who are not resident or citizen of Canada whether accompnying to Canada or not. With this statement, do I need to include my eldest daughter turning 22 this March but MPNP issued her a separate nomination letter, I am just relating to "each of your family member" statement. She is not included as my dependant on the LOA issued to me.
Hope you can share your thoughts.
Thanks
