Hi 02clar3nc325,

I just checked my status online and it says Medical results received but there's no date. I had my Medical last November 15.

CIO Timeline Updated. Let's wait for others senior members to answer your queries.

Thanks

hi guys..its been 32 days since my application received by CIC.. so sad.. :(
no AOR..

The average time lately is between 27-40 days, isn't it? (Based on the spreadsheet).

Dearest,

My ecas is now in process since 20th of nov. My concern is about my expired police clearance...will they request for d updated 1.?... A rough prediction, are they going to request for newly updated pc and pp at the same time?

It seems that the 5000 quota is for the Federal Skilled Workers.

I agree that the quota may be imposed on FSW who were backlogged and was then changed to MPNP applicant. This is where the cap that might have been moved for MPNP applicants. Otherwise, MPNP has no cap at all. Additionally, CIC cannot give any cap on provincial nominees, these are different jurisdictions and there are immigration policies that should be followed.

CIC may be able to control the cap on FSW backlogged applicants that were moved to provincial nominees but not other direct applicants.

It might just be taking longer because they have changed the requirements, i.e. one stream only and also only online applications. All these changes taken into account could be the reason for further delays.

Hello Guys,

I’m a silent reader here in this forum. It’s really informative and inspiring to read all the comments here.
Now, it’s my turn to ask ;)

We open an immigrant visa application with the Firm of Campbell Cohen last 2011, and after assessing our application they advised us to apply for Quebec Skilled Worker visa. Up until now, we are not invited for an interview since we are lacking the French exam (which we find it difficult to complete). Recently, they send us an update about our application and we were asked if any friends or family from Manitoba that can represent us. Since we don’t have any friends or family there, what would be the best option for us? Where we can start our application? There is an explanatory letter that doesn’t require any friends or family is it still applicable?

Thank you in advance for sharing any inputs and information. God Bless us all :)

Don't worry much, consider the time difference, you might receive it today. Continue to be positive and hopeful. I'm just 2 weeks later than you.

Unfortunately, the exploration visit has been closed already for this year. You will have to wait until it re-opens next year. But City of Morden offers an exploratory visit for only some specific jobs. But maybe your job is applicable: http://mordenmb.com/business/immigrate-to-morden/how-to-get-here

@tabs179 Thank you so much for this information.

It's been awhile since we processed our application and up until now we don't know where to go. They really want us to sit for French exam and push us to Quebec.

So, if the exploration visit was closed. Can we still apply for MPNP as long as we have friends or relatives willing to represent for us?

Yes, you can apply for MPNP if you have friends and relatives in the area who are willing to sponsor you.

I know how you feel about the French exams, learning French is tough. But having a language skill will be very helpful for job hunting.
