Dear Everyone,

For those who think that MPNP is not for them, they may want to explore under Federal Skilled Worker category for faster processing of permanent residency. My profession is included in the 24 in demand list but unfortunately I will not qualify because I am not practicing my profession at present. The FSW category would require at least one full year of practice in your profession within the 10 year period.

Please see the list of profession in this link together with the corresponding cap still available.

Hope this will help those who will qualify under FSW and not with the MPNP.

Please see link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

Thank you.

Dear Senior Members,

I have just applied for FSWP under NOC 0211. I believe that it is almost impossible to catch it before CAP is filled. I have thought to apply for MPNP soon as a plan B of not getting federal PR.

I have two queries:
1. Is applying for two different kind of PRs a correct or wrong action?
2. I have two friends in Manitoba and I have many other friends in different states like Alberta, Toronto, Quebec. Moreover, my spouse have many relatives in Canada (her sister in Toronto, her uncle in Quebec, her aunt in Ottawa and her cousin in Vancouver). I may do not mention for friends in other states but sure I have to mention for all closed relatives of my wife. I think it may be the greatest weak point in my application
Appreciate your kind advice

Hi Wael.ot,

Your NOC 0211 profession under FSWP is still wide open, meaning there are still 62 vacant slots available for your profession. Since you already submitted your application and the cap in your profession is still widely open, then in my opinion, you are already in and is within the cap. If I were you, I will concentrate on FSWP and not worry at all. FSWP is a lot much faster as compared to the MPNP.

Please see this link for you to better appreciate what I wrote: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

Hope this helps.

Hi mani.star, Please advise the exact date you apply, is it June 17 or May 17. Please look at your timeline after your name every time you send a message, it reflects 17/05/2013 in the application filed portion. Please clarify. Thanks.

Oops sorry it is 17 june

Hi guys, i have repeatedly studied the timeline and came to a conclusion that after you filed your online application it takes at least 4 months for the mpnp to request for additional documents. After that, it should take at least a month before the sponsor would be interviewed. Usually it would only take 4-5 months for the LOA to be approved if your application runs without any delays.

my query would be this, on my online application (May 31) i only sent a bank certificate since our bank does not issue bank statements (BDO). Based on the timeline, i should be expecting an email from the mpnp regarding a request for my updated bank statements on the fourth month of my application (Sept 31). but i'm already running on my 5th month and still no word from the mpnp. is it possible that they don't always require the updated bank statement? any comments would be appreciated.

BTW my additional info for my time line are:

intended occupation: Registered Nurse
intended spouse occupation: security officer

You may check with my timeline...MPNP has its' ever changing and unpredictable processing time, yours will surely come. But be ready with a bank transaction history. I had a BDO passbook which I sent them, that would be enough.
