Most strategic stream applicants have to travel to Manitoba at the invitation of Manitoba Immigration and Labour. The main thrust of this stream is for you to make an exploratory visit to the province to assess your employability and afterwards you are interviewed by an immigration officer. If they are convinced that you have the potential to settle successfully in the province they will now issue you a letter of invitation to apply. Thereafter you can now apply online. Was in Manitoba in the period of Easter 2012 for my visit and got my invitation to apply afterwards.

Thanks for the information.

Hi all,
I have few questions referring to the MBPNP, I just sent off my application fo PR visa to CIO in April 17th, 2012.
I applied through international stream under experienced class!
When will I get the nofication of medic exam? And what is the next procedure of the PR application?
After I've got my PR, could I move to another provience? Will it affect my citizenship application later?
How come the years I stayed in MB before my MBPNP didn't contributed into the calculation of staying?
I've been here in MB for already 10yrs for studying since 2004!? :'(

hi! i'm applying under General Stream... my IELTS total band score is 5.5 (L-5.5 S- 5.5 W-6 R-4.5 (disaappointed in Reading category) ;(

i thought that CIC requires higher band score for Skilled Workers and not for immigrants right? i'm a bit confused...

Thank you so much... i'm hoping to hear more from you sir..

Dear,

Recently the only change announced under MPNP is the language requirement specifically for the NOC skill level c and d and also in general it's noticed that applicants who didn't submit IELTS result at fist time it's been asked them to submit that.

So I would suggest to to make sure to do IELTS with 5 band in each module ( need confirmation) and other eligibility points will be same on which you prepared your application.

By the way which stream you will be applying in?

Regards
BK

Dear,

Yes you are right for MPNP even IELTS was not mandatory but now they are preferring it, so I would suggest to consult the immigration office in Winnipeg ( the quickest way to get confirmed respons). You can ask your frnds to visit the office and clarify the doubt. Based on my information I would advise to do IELTS with at least 5 band in each module to be on the safe side.

Regards
BK

When we submitted the application we didn't know that much faster is online, and now I'm like >:( >:( So who took application directly in Winnipeg waiting much longer than that applied online :o !? What nonsense!!! >:(

You forgot the oldest applicant in the history of this forum. I applied in 2010 and still waiting for my LOA :o

:) let's hope we will get positive results as all is good if it ends good.

As far as online application is concerned it make sense to be faster as it save their time of uploading and verifying each doc.

Below is the new rule for MPNP with regards to IELTS....(www.immigratemanitoba.com)

It is recommended that all MPNP applicants submit test results demonstrating their language proficiency. But for lower skilled applicants, as defined above, the submission of language test results is mandatory, effective immediately, in order to comply with changes made by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).

You must score at least the numerical value listed for each category (listening, speaking, reading, writing). No other evidence of language proficiency will be accepted.

•International English Language Testing System (IELTS) General Training
Listening: 4.5 | Reading: 3.5 | Writing: 4 | Speaking: 4

Cheers :)
