could any one tell me whats ECAS means?

It means Electronic Client Application Status. An electronic medium for accessing the progress of your application.

Until you receive an email from CIC confirming the receipt of your application and thereafter allocating you a unique client identifier (UCI) number, you cannot access the ECAS.

Hi guys.... Today it's 6 months passed, I got my AOR on 3rd aug 2012....still no news of sponsors interview . Is anyone got sponsor interview of any stream In jan 2013 or any other news regarding LOA

I applied through mail, because I submitted my application last year first week of november. So emailing them will not cause any problem on my side??

By mail will take time for them to give you aor as I see from forums. Online aor is with in 48 hours. Just be patient. Others would have aor 3-4 mos, some wld be 6 months.

PNP Application: 08 Aug 2012 (submitted online)
Nomination letter: 13 Dec 2012
CIC application: getting ready............

As most of you have already applied for CIC application, so please advise me in filling my application:

1) what is this UCI? I do not have any?
2) This CIC application for Manitoba has to be sent to Sydney, Nova Costa? no other way
3) Do we have online system or I need to submit by mail only?

Welcome on board Mianatee.

Just added the few information you provide. Kindly click on the link at the signature section of my post and provide the oustanding informtion like stream, sponsor interview date, etc in order to have all the relevant sections pertaining to you to be completed.

Concerning your questions:

Unique client identifier. If you dont have it just ignore it in your application t CIC.

2) This CIC application for Manitoba has to be sent to Sydney, Nova Costa? no other way

How do you mean CIC application for Manitoba.?. If you have your nomination frm Manitoba just go to cic.gc.ca to look at the checklist of documents that you need to submitt along side your nomination letter to Nova Scotia.

3) Do we have online system or I need to submit by mail only?

Application to Nova Scotia is by mail and not online.

My nomination letter mentioned my NOC (intended occupation) and that was what I mentioned in my application to CIC. Yours I suppose should have it and would advise you menton just that one.

Based on CIC requirement, IELTS is valid for 2 years from the date the exam was taken.

HI ! I am also an August 2012 applicant. We submitted our application through a distant relative in Canada last August 22 of 2012. We did not receive any AOR but i just got an e-mail from our sponsor that they just got interviewed last Feb 1, 2013

Wow! Congrats! I hope you will get your LOA soon. I am also August (31, 2012) applicant but i have no news or update yet. ;D

Yes, our sponsor got interviewed. They were sent an e-mail that the policy and program office assigned to our application is trying to contact them. The e-mail has the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program File No. I am not sure if that is the same with AOR. Hoping for the best and will continue praying


I would also like to ask those who have submitted to CIC. Would they still require an updated bank history. What happened is that we used some of the money in the bank. Would that be a problem? Your thoughts are highly appreciated
