MPNP Application 2012

I think the big factor that i was denied is that, my sister wasn't able to supply them with the settlement plan 2. and yes, i only give them a bank certificate, not knowing that i also need to give them a 3 months history of my account.
this is what they send me in my email:

We have pre-screened your application and wish to advise it does not meet the eligibility criteria for the
following reason(s):

Thank you for your interest in Manitoba as your immigration destination in Canada.
- You did not demonstrate proof of your connection to Manitoba as outlined in the eligibility
criteria. Specifically, your Manitoba supporter did not provide the Settlement Plan Part 2.

- You did not provide bank statement showing three months account history.

Oh no! Im really worried coz I only uploaded bank certificate. As read from previous posts, MPNP will ask additional docs if necessary.
I think, major factor of being approved is that you are able to establish or demonstrate the proof of your connection to Manitoba. They did not ask for bank history since you are not able to demonstrate your connection.
Lord, I know you will guide us through the whole process....

you don't need to worry that much, because I also have one friend, who also applied for the MPNP, the manitoba approved her application, but they ask for the additional docs spec. bank history, they only give her 3 weeks to supply the documents. I know you'll make it. keep on praying. Regards!

Hi, I am now preparing for the documents for CIC. Have some questions that needs clarification:

1. Why is it indicated in the LOA that I need to submit the orginal letter to CIC though it it indicated in the doc checklist of CIC that only the copy is needed?
2. Do i need to pay for the RPRF right away together with the PF?

1. Other members submitted the original, others don't. Since both have instructions about LOA, I followed MPNP and CIC. I placed the original LOA on top of my application package, and the other one which is a copy that I placed as indicated in CIC's doc checklist.

2. Per instruction, RPRF will be asked in the later stage of the application. Upon application, PF is the only required payment.

Thank you! My sister never received any notifications from them, that's why she wasn't able to give them her SP2. I'm planning to reapply, but I'm not sure if I need to wait 6 months to make a new application.

Hi bujing25, you're under GS but you have applied online (?) I know that GS applicants can only apply thru mail.
Perhaps this is the reason why you're sponsor didn't receive the SP2 request from MPNP and consequently the refusal of your application.

This is just my perception, senior members may give their thoughts as well...


I believe you need to wait for 6months before re-applying to MPNP.

If you are under GS it is for mail application only.

You may reapply to the MPNP after six months from the date on your result letter or after you have addressed the reasons why your application was not approved.

When you reapply you must show that you have sufficient training, experience and/or a stronger connection to Manitoba to support a new application.

Thanks for the clarification! In that case, I need to put my Philippine address as my mailing address. I'm quite in a difficult situation 'cause I and my family reside here in Saudi and I don't want to use Abu Dhabi as VO due to long processing time. It means that I have to send our passports from Saudi to Manila VO and Manila VO to send back the passport to my Philippine address and finally my kins to send it to Saudi (if ever I come to that stage...hopefully!).

Yes, processing time in Philippines is faster than in Saudi as what I've read in other posts.

You can also resign from your job when the time comes for your PPR or even before that to spend time with your family in the Philippines but if you are planning to transfer from Saudi to Canada, then I think you may do what you said.

the other option, is just do it for yourself. Print your duties and responsibilities on company's letterhead and then attach it to the COE they will give you. I think it will be acceptable to MPNP since the first letter have already signature.

Sounds good!!! I believe that is acceptable for as long as the duties and responsibilities is printed on a company's letterhead and identifying it as additional page/annex (on the upper left side of the paper) to the CoE.

Hi cmj, based on my personal experience...Yes.

MPNP just recently requested me to provide them updated COE or referral letter from my current employer with duties and responsibilities.

If your employers are not willing to provide such, you may ask colleague or ex-colleague to provide you with referral letter stating your duties and responsibilities. That's what I did. My previous employer is not willing to provide one, so I asked one ex-colleague to give referral letter. I uploaded this and I guess it's OK because MPNP did not ask for an updated one on this.

This is equally brilliant idea and suggestion for those you have a problem on their CoE.
