Congratulations to those who have good news! It is currently -28 degrees here, with windchill it is -39 degrees as i write this comment.. I am here in winnipeg.. The weather can be brutal, but with the right clothing you'll be fine.. If you'll be driving a car, cold is almost neglible, aside from the trouble of scraping snow off your car before you coud use it.. Hope to see everyone here soon..

I hope someone can help me here though with my question. Because my sisters are sponsoring our friend.. I just have a clarification... here it goes: The application that has to be sent to CIO, Sydney, should it include proof of funds? For some reason, I am not seeing it in the checklist. And I have read somewhere that you are not supposed to include documents that are not requested, for it may result to the return of the application or worst, rejection.. Kindly advise please for those who have recently submitted their documents to CIO Sydney and were finally cleared by encashing check or charging credit card.. Thanks so much..

hello Pinoy2manitoba,

glad to hear from you again... thanks for sharing your experience in Winnipeg :)

btw, regarding POF, based on my experience, I did not include it on the PR application that I have submitted in CIO. I assumed my documents are complete as they already charged my account for the PF & RPRF, I wish that the processing evaluation review on my file will be fine and hopefully they will send an AOR at the soonest...
Goodluck to your friend on his/her application! God bless

hi sset12.... it is nice to see a familiar name here.. and lumalapit ka ng makarating dito.. that is great..

I am doing well here.. God is good.. My sister and her family are doing well as well.. She landed with a good corporate job, and i got a descent job myself.. Things are a whole lot simple here, with the work environment.. You might find a little bit of difficulty in finding a job at first, but i guess it is easier to find a job here than in Manila.. I have met a number of people here who are negative.. Those who have recently arrived mumbles a little bit more than usual.. lol.. but I have met one of them lately and her husband just got promoted as engineer, naiba na ihip ng hangin sobrang saya na... Things will work out well for anyone who puts their mind in to it..

Hope to see you guys here.. Maganda din dito.. HEHE, IM Trying to condition your mind na ba? haha

I have another question pala, Napuna ko bati employent record mas mabusisi na request nila, did you include the number of hours of work per week and other minor details in the work certificate that you have submitted? Thanks so much and God bless...

bale dalawang payment form(IMM 5620) and pinadala ko, yung isa for Processing Fee ($550x2), then yung isa for RPRF($490x2)... i just tweaked the original form to create a new form showing payment for RPRF... gawa ka lang po ng excel sheet for RPRF breakdown, print, cut and paste it to the original form, then photocopy mo yun, fill up the form with other details bago mo lagyan ng signature para magmukhang original...if you want send ko yung form sa yo.

pinoy2manitoba nice hearing good news from you. hello sa lahat here.

i heard about the very cold weather from FB posts of relatives there win winnipeg. grabe nga daw lamig recently. but i'm not worrying, i spent a year or so, down south in Minnesota and i'm guessing similar ang lamig sa Winnipeg which is just about 6 hrs far.

anyways, just want to share my timeline update:

MR - Oct 7
Medical - Nov 15
Med2Cem - Jan 17 (i just checked ecas now and happy to see this. but it really got delayed due to several trips to nationwide for addtl tests)
PPR - waiting!!! in God's time. hindi naman kami nagmamadali.

in case we got the visa, is it true that the expiry to enter Canada is a year from the first Medical date? In my case Nov 15? Or the date when CEM received the medical results from nationwide?

thank you! god bless everyone!

Hi. I think it is one year from the date of your first medical exam date. This is based on the experience of a lot of people I know and I think it is also mentioned in the website of citizenship and immigration Canada. So regardless of whether you receive your visa 6 months or 3 months before expiry, it always coincides with the date of the medical exam. Hope this helps!

heads up for those new applicants for PR visa application thru CIO, please check out the new document checklist version 01-2012... work reference, diploma & transcripts of records are no longer required... maybe CIO has realized the redundancy of the required documents. I guess this is very favorable for the new applicants :)
