Hello you guys it’s me once again just have a quick question how true is that having my wife going to an MP would help on my sponsoring process?
I ´ve heard that from a close friend, My wife its up in Canada pretty much alone with my baby girl who´s almost two years old, I’m working on two full time jobs day and night shifts to send her money for rent and their needs, is there a way for her to talk or write some one about the big need of her husband to be working in Canada ASAP?

Regards and God bless us all! ;)

Hi PIPE,

Yes your wife can go to her local MP office and ask for help but they will not get involved if your application is within the posted time for your VO. She can send an email to her local MP and find out how their office can help.

Have you ordered your CAIP notes?

MPs cannot speed up the processing of an application. The most they can do is inquire on the status of the application on your behalf.

If you want to speed up the processing of your application, the best thing to do is make sure the application is complete when you submit it (i.e. forms are complete, all supporting documentation is included, etc.) and that you provide good and strong evidence to support that your relationship is genuine.

Thank you all very much for your quick response giving you a little be of my file background info we are using a representative in canada (Immigration lawyer) since my case is definitely not an easy one year I have over 5 year of relationship with my wife and I also have a Canadian daughter but back almost 3 years I got deported since I overstayed, my father applied for refugee when I was a minor anyway, it’s not an easy case that’s for sure, now as per CIC website application checked my application was received on July 27th 2011, as well as medicals a few weeks later, on December 29 I got an email requesting some extra info such a detailed time line from the day I first enter Canada till the day I got deported every single Job school placed I lived , Finger prints etc. so I gather all info and sent it over on Jan 4th 2012, since then I haven´t got a single letter or email… please tell me your thoughts fellas. ::)Blessings

our office is horrible at communication so don't worry if they don't say a thing, it's normal i think! and they don't really update ecas very often either. My MP's office was very helpful, it says in the operating procedures for visa officers that they MUST respond to MP's emails - they can't speed up the process, but they can check on the status of your application very easily. (we needed to know if they had received some of our documents and within 5 working days, our MP had a response from the visa office) I think standard time for responses is supposed to be 7 business days. So call your MP and ask them to find out if your visa office has received your documents.
