Hey everyone! We are queer family of two people and one cat and we are currently approved refugees/protected status and applied to PR.

My question is - Is it possible to change/switch country to another safe one if we as refugees just can’t find employment at all and afford living here?

Or is it only available to immigrate again after getting citizenship or PR?

We’ve been here for 2 years and pretty much realized that we will have to move out to another country in future anyway because there are just straight up no jobs, especially in our field, rent is unreasonably high and governmental support not covering it and all, it’s just very difficult to survive in pair where one is disabled especially.

So I just wanted to navigate all the options?

Thank you so much

You can immigrate to another country if eligible through that county's programs. Having PR gives you no advantage. You are either eligible or not. You cannot claim asylum in another country. And claiming asylum may make you ineligble for other countries. You have to research where your work exprience, education and language skills are in demand. Having a disabled spouse may make you medically inadmissible to.

Thank you

Then you go find a country that maybe is more accommodating of your needs and maybe get more money

Other countries are refusing asylum claims , other countries are shipping people off to third countries. Some asylum seekers are sleeping on the streets ffs . Your issue is that you’re not getting enough Government money .

If there’s no jobs in your field , then look at other jobs

I was at St Joseph’s hospital last night in Toronto. They are hiring cleaners & porters
