36 Months Waiting for Sponsorship Approval !!!!

Hi everyone,

Our Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) application was received in November 2023. It's now been almost 36 months, meaning 3 years!!! and we still haven't received Sponsorship Approval. We only have g-number.

According to IRCC's processing times, step 1 for Turkey takes around 27 months, so we're already about 9 months beyond that.

We contacted IRCC several times, but all we received were generic responses saying our application is still being processed!!!!!

Is this normal? Has anyone else waited 30–36 months or longer just for Sponsorship Approval?

Believe there are applicants waiting since 2022 although you can look through all the posts. There are never guaranteed processing times.

Yes, but those applicants have already received Sponsorship Approval and are waiting for the next stages. I've searched through this forum and other websites, and I haven't found anyone who has waited 36 months just for Sponsorship Approval

You can also ask your MP’s constituency office to make an inquiry on your behalf, especially since you have already contacted IRCC several times.
