Hi,
I am planning to move to Canada (PR) and I want to carry my 2-year-old US bought Car. I was able to find everything else in this forum at one place or other, except this one thing -
I know that I have to mention my Car in the form BSF186 - "goods to follow" - so that later I could carry it with me - duty and tax-free! The only thing I don't understand - what $ value should I mention for this Car - the purchase price of the car or the deprecated current value? If its the later, how do I find what is it's current value! I tried following the official documentation - https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/import/valuation-valeur/menu-eng.html but that seems quite difficult to follow. Likewise, what $ value should I write for other stuff e.g. furniture, mattress, etc..?
Any clue guys?
Thanks
