Mother Visitor Visa (Im International Student)

Hello everyone,

Can someone please help me?

I really want my mum to visit me.
Im hoping to get her 10 year visa.
I have been studying in Canada for 3 years. She has been here before for 6 month before I turned 18 in my first semester in university. I got a car and adjusted here quite well so now I can properly show Canada around and I want her to meet my boyfriend. I am also suffering from depression and I was thinking having her here will help. And I also started a Coop job in a very prestige company in between my studying semester so I am worried it will any of the issue ( I have an appropriate visa for that that I will attach)

I need help finding the best reason for Invitation Letter from me about her intentions.

What would be my best bet here?

1. Say I want her to come for tourism
2. mention my boyfriend and say that I want them to meet
3. Mention Health Related Condition with Medical Note and medication prescription?
4. Any other good reason in this case?

Any ideas? Thoughts?

Last time she was issued only 6 month visa and only because she was accompanying me as an underaged person

We want her to have 10 year visa in case of any emergency.

You would need to explain why she want to have a multiple 10 year visa.

You don’t get to decide what visa you want the VO decides this. Would discourage anyone from asking for the longest visa given. Could do the opposite and raise concerns.

Honestly the fact that she stayed for the full 6 months after she said she was only accompanying you to school is a bit of a drawback. Would not mention your depression. Would say that you would like to show her around now that you know the city and include a detailed day to day itinerary. Would also include proof that she will returning home soon because spending 6 month in Canada the last time suggests she doesn’t have very strong ties. Would not ask for more than a 2-3 week visit.

Yes, VO decides. But you can still ask what you want. It would not raise concern. Have you actually invited someone to come to Canada for visit?
