I am a bit confused about who is considered "family" for the medical exam.

My husband is applying for the PR, so obviously he will get the medical. I understand that I, as a Canadian, do not need one. My husband´s immediate family is his parents, and his one brother. None of them are coming with us to Canada, but the application form says, family accompanying or not.

Does my husband´s parents and brother also need the medical?

Thanks

From the PR application form:

"You must provide the following details about each of your family members, whether they will be accompanying you to Canada or not. You must include only your spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, and all of your dependent children (natural and/or adopted), and those of your spouse or common-law partner, who are not already permanent residents or citizens of Canada.

Sooo...

a) since you are Canadian, you do not need one;

b) no need for parents' or brother's medicals;

(I am not a specialist, and I could be wrong. please double check.)

eduardoF is right, the only people needing medical exams are those who are eligible to be sponsored with you on your application. If you are being sponsored by a spouse/common-law partner, that would be only your dependent children (if applicable).
