it depends what they told you in the request - they are normally quite specific. if anything, it means that they are wondering about some points of your application, and they give you a chance to respond to their concern by sending more documents. If they are not satisfied with the new documents you send, or still have some doubts, they can ask you for an interview as the next step.

So if they request more documents ( concerning on-going relation with your sponsor for example), you should prepare as much as possible, send everything, and hope that it will be enough. If not, they will let you know and probably ask for an interview.

It seems like good news that they have not requested more documents about the nature of your relationship, but it's always difficult to know with CIC in which order they assess the file... so just send whatever is requested as soon as possible, and hopefully you won't get more request and they can continue assessing your file and proceed with visa. But - no guarantee that it's the last step as the Visa officer can always decide for an interview at a later stage.

Congrats on the pregnancy!

If you have a letter from your doctor, yes, that might be a good idea. It will serve as an additional proof of your relationship, so it's always worth sending it.... depending on when you're due, if you land before the end of the pregnancy your baby will be canadian so you won't need to sponsor him/her, hopefully CIC will give you the visa before so you can travel and not have to sponsor the baby later on (unless the father is canadian born, then the baby is canadian anyway...).

The next step is definitely to get that police clearance and marriage certificate, have them officially translated, and send them in as soon as possible!!

In our app we were asked for 1 additional document and they gave a due date of only 15 days to get the info in to them. Yours should also say how long you have.

Nothing to worry about its just a minor request from them.
