Montreal top destination for foreign students

Montreal ranks first worldwide as a destination for a foreign student wishing to pursue university studies, according to an analysis published by the division of information The Economist.

In addition to the quality of teaching, the criteria for ranking are, inter alia, social and cultural diversity, openness to immigration and the ease of obtaining a work visa, opening foreign investment, tuition, cost of living, crime rates, the potential performance of a real estate investment, job opportunities after graduation and the value of the currency.

Montreal ahead of cities such as London, Cambridge and Oxford.
