when did you apply to cic? which office did you apply? when did they cash your check? if it is buffalo, looks like it is taking 8-12 weeks for aor. check my previous posts for my timeline.

Well Nomad i applied way back in March 2009. i mean stuff reached them by the 26th March 09. i applied to Nairobi as i was told to send my stuff there. i never heard from them again. its crazy but i was told the Money order was cashed on May 1st. so maybe it could be on its way as i write this. but i dont whats going on???
Share with me if you have more clues.
Cheers.

rhino,

i can only share my experience with cic buffalo. i got my aor 2 months after the check was cashed. you need not panic right away. wait for 2-3 months after the check was cashed, and then you should see something.
you bank should be able to get you a copy of the check after cic cashed it. you will find a bar code and a number on top of the bar code. that entire number is your immigration file number and you can keep checking your status in eCas regularly. you won't see anything until they process your application and send you aor, then you should see your status as "in process"

hope this helps.

Just like others are trying to say you'll get an official AOR in about 2 to 3 months from the date you send your application. Untill then " Be cool"

Hey Nomad,
Thankx for the info. so when you got your official AOR did it come with your instructions to do your medicals and police check or just an AOR telling you how long the process will take. i am actually cool but was just a bit impatient to travel to Nairobi.
Cheers.
