Mistake on sponsor’s work history. Application submitted

Hello, I’m a June Outland applicant still waiting for AOR. My sponsor and I just noticed that we forgot to disclose he was receiving welfare three years ago on one of the forms. Can we submit a web form using my UCI (I’m currently in Canada) or Do we have to wait for AOR? I’m just worried the officer won’t get the webform before making a decision on the sponsor’s side if we wait for AOR..

Imm5532 sponsor’s work history. Had to explain how he supported himself while unemployed and wrote that he received EI while it was actually social assistance

I dont think EI is social assistantane.

EI benefits is not same as welfare (social assistance).....not sure how much difference it makes......but with IRCC, its good to be very honest.......you may send the updated filled and signed form through IRCC Webform......include a note with UCI # (if known) to explain reason for the update, that you misstated EI benefits instead of welfare (social assistance) in the form.

AOR is usually sent by IRCC within 6 to 7 weeks........and Sponsor Approval within 8 weeks.
