Mistake in Foreign Draft for PR application Fee Payment

Dear Friends

I did mistake in name written on foreign draft made in canadian dollars for Fedral Skilled workers sent to Nova Scotia ,Canada.

My bank has written " Receiver General of Canada " on draft.

But as per guidelines, It is should have be written " Receiver General FOR Canada "

I came to know just after sending file when I was going through Guidelines later for other freind that myself has done mistake.
can someone advise what will happen .will they return file. will they accept file and processed the file .looking for comments .

In my opinion no problem will arise due to 'OF' instead of 'FOR'. However, if they can not cash your DD, it will be rturned with your application to send again.

You can contact the bank where the DD was issued to know whether the DD is cashed or not.

What happened to your friend who did the same mistake ?

If anybody did same problem may share to let us know the experience.

Sorry to say dear,it will definitely add delay in your file......I'm not expert but as per i know, even if their will be spelling mistake they return DD along with application and ask applicant to re apply with correct spelling and amount.


But I pray ur DD should be encahsed and ur profile should be processed...I can only pray fr you

it's not a problem as it's a language nuance,in the US we would "receiver general of canada" but in canada they say"receiver general for canada"

Hi,
Your Draft will surely be returned.
I had sent my RPRF fees and had the same mistake. My draft was sent back & I had to send a new Draft.
If it is cashed you will be lucky person.

let's not worry too much. be prepared for the worst that is return of DD. be ready for that. and if it encashed then throw a party. u will be really lucky the. but be prepared to get it corrected and submit again in case it is not yet encashed.

you can PM "meena". she had the same problem. check if her draft got cleared or not..
