I am about to reach there on 31st March.
Weather there is cool all the year now temp is -1degree
Cost of living is ok according to Canadian standards
House for two to share with one room , hall and kitchen comes for $600

Mississauga is having a multicultural environment. GTA weather is not harsh as in north western or eastern parts of canada. basements at ground levels can be rented without lease for 600-900. schools belong to peel district board. peel district board has poor ranking among other school boards. daycare is expensive everywhere. you can find survival jobs because of many ethnic shops, restaurants, malls etc.. commuting would be difficult. you have to rely on transit bus which you cannot find that frequent. living outside toronto region without a car is very difficult and expensive. Mississauga, toronto, scarborough car insurance is high for new comers.

I shared my humble knowledge. hope it helps you ...

I appreciate some info about daycares:

- what are the best day cares in Mississauga? I have a 3 years old and a 1 year old.

- Is it free like schools ? if not what is the fee ? and can I get a grant or support from government?

- Is it difficult to get seats ? we will be arriving in August and want to enroll the kids asap.

Why schools of peel district board are not good as compared to other school boards. how u will grade education in Toronto & Mississauga???

Not sure where are the daycares and what since I am not living there, but daycare fees is anywhere between $38 to 43 per day depending on the age of children. And yes it is sometimes difficult to get seats, so as soon as you arrive here, contact and register your child there. Ontario govt provides subsidy to families with low incomes, so you might be eligible for that. You can check with the daycare itself about this as they send your file to the govt. Age for daycares is usually 18 months but you might find private home daycares who can accommodate such young kids.

I am not sure if you can pre-register before landing.
