There is a thread about bringing back mattress. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/question-about-returning-citizens-importing-mattress.416130/
See post #14.
I checked the government website just to make sure it is current. http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/dm-md/d9/d9-1-7-eng.html
As a returning Canadian, you will be fine with mattress :)
FYI this would only apply if their spouse has been outside Canada for over one year and living with them overseas. Landing PRs are settlers for the purpose of goods importation, not returning Canadians

Yes! It was so slow for a while then suddenly they started back ground check and asked for proof of intent that I the sponsor was intending on moving to canada with husband, once I sent that it took 2 weeks then I got decision made and COPR email to send husband stuff to London to get processed

How long are people waiting for movement after submitting additional docs?
Mine came through 2 weeks after submitting additional information
@jeff198901 My additional docs (proof of intent to return) were confirmed as received 6 days after uploading to IRCC webform. Then it was 15 days after that to receive Decision Made for the principal applicant's Ecas status. So total of 3 weeks from time of submitting them to get DM.
DM was just yesterday, so we're still waiting for PPR.

Can any one tell me how long we would have once the Decision is Made to move to Canada? The process is all happening faster than I anticipated and I am trying to gauge a timeline for our exit from Ireland. Our Application was received on November 16, 2017. And medical has been passed and the back ground check is in progress. I was thinking like a time line between June and October for our exit. From what I read we might get a decision by April....

Your COPR is generally valid until the 1 year anniversary of your medical examination... So that should give you enough time to stick to your original timeline :)

If you don't mind me asking, what additional proof did you provide? did you send a lot of evidence the first time?

Taken the hubby and I awhile to get everything together but we are submitting this week. His FBI record hits 6 months on the 17th. Can we submit like this or should we get another one? Only thing is he is staying in Canada with me so he can't go back to a Channeller in his home state.

I would have a new one on hand to be safe

Does anyone know if they can ask for additional docs more than one time? Passed medical a couple weeks ago, and just received a request on Friday for some additional docs (incl. a new passport even though my partner's passport is valid until January 2019 - this is going to delay our application by about 7 weeks as Vancouver consulate office is extremely busy and no appointments available for a month + 3 weeks to get new passport) - I'm just wondering if this will be the last thing they'll ask for, or if they request items as they go through the application....

Thanks! :)
