Even though you are the sponsor you don't have access to your spouse's confidential information without their consent which is why you have to fill out an authorized representative form.

What we did is that we called CIC together and my wife gave authorization for them to talk to me for the duration of the phone call.

That is weird because they have responded before without issues. Unless this is something really really new.

All I will do then is change the names and email addresses to the wife's and that's it?

This happened to me as well. During the beginning of the process, they had no problem telling me anything, but after I was approved as the sponsor, for some reason they wanted me to fill out that use of representative form and send it along, and it's been fine ever since.

just Got a line 2 added in ECAS. It says
“We started processing your application on Oct.30th”
Which I doubt they -just- started it.

Yeah, that's interesting because most folks being processed in Mississauga never even get that. It goes straight from application received to decision made.

How long is everyone waiting for application movement after receiving the email from cpc Mississauga saying their app will be processed in Mississauga?

That's interesting, it's a bit different than what I got. My email had almost no content, it was all in a PDF. For example mine had no email and I am not supposed to fill out any address on the return envelope.

Had you not paid some fees before?

mine was similar to yours. No fees and clearly stated to not write any addresses on the return envelope

Yeah I got the email on October 20th and no movement yet. My meds were already done on Ottawa before being sent back to Mississauga

Nope, nothing. Ecas still says "Application Received."

They're still going through April apps so I doubt you'll see DM for another month or two.

Unless there is something unusual about your app it should be getting DM along with many April candidates.

We submitted our app Mar 21 and my fiance's background check only started Oct 19 so we're still waiting for DM as well.
