Hello all,
I have submitted CRA Notice of assessment for 2013 along with my citizenship application and now I cannot find the original Notice of assessment :'( and the test letter states that I need to bring all the original documents during the test time. I do have a print out of the Notice of assessment 2013 from CRA's website and photo copy of Original Notice of Assessment. Will I be ok if I take those two with me along with other required documents.?

Will they ask me for the original Notice of assessment? Will this cause any issue? Please share your thoughts?

It may.

I already lost CRA assessments before applying. I called CRA and they said they wouldn't send duplicates. But they sent me the statement of accounts. It is almost the same.
Your best bet is get the statement of accounts from CRA.

I lost 2 of my noticed of assessment, I went to www.cra-arc.gc.ca download all my NOA and voila!! problem solved

It's all in the CRA website, even T4s are there...
Service Canada website have our ROEs too :)

yeah it helps me a lot coz when I first get my NOA i have no idea that i need it for citizenship so i just keep it somewhere and lost it he he he not I know the value of those government papers

Yes, you should not have any issue. I had everything, but they never asked for any tax related or job related documents.
Also, even if they ask you can always tell them it is in my file. They have your file with them and all documents too. They just check originals for IDs, COPR and PP.

Hi, Wondering why did you submit your CRA Notice of Assessment with your citizenship application? Is that your supporting documents for your work history? I submitted my T4's from 2011 to 2013 and copy of pay stubs for my 2014 salaries as my supporting documents for my employment for the past 4 years. I'm wondering if T4's and pay stubs are acceptable in lieu of the CRA NOA?

There is no right or wrong answer, since CIC does not specify the type of "work documents". So T4's and paystubs are fine too. I also submitted T4's and paystub and they have called me for test.

Like the OP, I don't have the original of one of my T4's - my employer has agreed to give me a copy with a stamp saying "duplicate" and I'll take it along with the original NOA for that year(just in case).

What do you mean by saying "they have called me for test". Did you mean the citizenship exam to test knowledge about Canada history, rights and responsibilities? Or it is something else?

Yes, the citizenship test.

Are there any applicants who got the citizenship who were not asked to sit for the citizenship test?

i dont think so., every one is required to take the exam except the child or teens (as per the website age bracket)

Everyone between the age of 18 - 54 yrs must take citizenship test. It is usually a written test but can also be an oral test.
