Hi,

I sent my application yesterday and missed to send one document. Should I send missing document with a letter giving details of my particulars OR should I wait till they ask for it? Please advise.

What document you missed?

Based on comments from others it is better to send another application with Explanation. They won't ask additional document and will return it as incomplete

I missed to send proof of language of my wife's application. Though I did send a proof of short English language course which she completed here in Canada but I don't know if that is sufficient proof. As per the certificate which was issued to her by a local college her English level is 5 in all four modules i-e speaking, writing listening, reading

You will need to check on CIC website if her short course is acceptable for citizenship requirement.
If not, you may send her degree qualification either from Canada or abroad provided that medium of instruction was in English.

If that short English language course acceptable as as proof you don't need to worry, if not you need to send another application since it will be definitely rejected.
(Language requirements can be checked in the help section in the form it self but if you still not sure give a call to IRCC helpline.)
