Missed Meds Request for Wife and Children

I made a major oversight. In mid-May, I received a request to undergo a medical. I did so within the required 30 days. However, because of the way the mails were displayed in my Gmail inbox, I did not notice that there were three other emails in the same group requesting the meds for my two children and wife. I thought it odd that they only requested that I undergo the physical.

I only discovered this oversight when I revisited the original email requesting my medical. I was horrified to see the other requests for meds for my dependents listed above the request for my med.

I have emailed the immigration section of the embassy currently processing my application to ask what I should do. They have not replied and this was three business days ago. I have, in the past, received replies from them to other unrelated queries.

I also sent a CSE to CIC Canada a few days ago. Still no word yet.

I really need to know what to do here.

How can I get word to CIC about my oversight?

Should I just go ahead and get the meds done for my wife and children?

Does anyone have any relevant experience they can relate? Has anyone else missed a deadline due to missing an email etc?

Any advice would be sincerely appreciated!

Complete the medicals as soon as possible. Don't wait for CIC to respond.

Email CIC (i.e. your visa office) to let them know you missed the emails and will be completing the medicals asap. Contact them again with an update once the medicals are done.

As stated by Scylla, you must report to CIC as soon as possible. Continue with the medical request as soon as possible (even if you have passed deadline). Once your children have given medicals, explain them via email about the issue (Just be honest and to the point. They like honest people)

Generally, if CIC send you an email and they do not receive a message fail (delivery bounce back) reply, responsibility is on the applicant to ensure proper steps are in place. However, CIC is flexible on extending deadlines if there have been some email miscommunication issues.

CIC is not the law, they are only administrators who process applications and approve or refuse applications. Even Federal courts side with the applicant when it comes to giving benefit of the doubt.
