It is recommended 1 thousand dollars per week after accommodations. The less money you show the more unlikely you will get a TRV.

No, it is not enough that your husband has money... YOU have to have the money to afford the visit, if you don't have it that works against you as it would be harder to believe you will leave the country after your visit.

Use the tool for a comprehensive list of needed documents:

Thanks for replaying.
I am not doing any job here.And if I plan to visit for 6 months .I don't have that much fund to so..I just have fund for 1 MONTH as per your answer. 1k dollars for 1 week.So in this case is it must required because my husband is going to carry all my expenses.

Yes. In your case that is even more required as your husband is in Canada and you don't have a job. These are red flags for CIC, as you have all the reasons to stay and none to go back, so you have to prove otherwise.

Shorten your trip to 2-3 week. Six months is FAR too long and will pretty much guarantee a refusal.

hi scylla, you mean to say shortening trip would increasing the changes of getting visa for retired couples without good finances

A shorter trip will always have better odds than a longer trip.

Just mention 2 weeks trip....that's all....it increases the probability of getting visa multiple times

hello, you seem very knowledgeable. i want to bring my WIFE to Canada (Toronto) on a visitor visa (TRV) while we wait for her PR to come in. and i read somewhere that because she is my wife, i can show my funds and provide a letter stating that i will be responsible for her expenses here, as she is my WIFE.

QUESTION: Is it ok if she does NOT have much in her account, but i have a lot in my account over 30K, AND a good paying stable job (above average salary), AND I will also be showing that i own and live in my own home)

this is straight from the checklist for Lebanon:

Proof of sufficient funds to cover expenses for the duration of your visit.
 A bank statement covering the last twelve months and showing the balance of the
account;
 Any additional relevant documentation (last 2 pay slips, property titles, proof of
pension, investments, etc.);
 If you are not paying for your own trip, indicate how your trip will be funded. Submit
supporting documentation, for example: parents’ bank statements; letter from
employer covering costs; spouse’s employment, proof of employment and financial
documents for host in Canada* (employment letter, pay slips, T4 or Notice of
Assessment, bank statements), etc.

Hi, I have a question, me and my spouse are in Canada and we both work full time and make around 85 K a year, I want to invite my parents to Canada for shorter 3 weeks visit for the summers, however my dad does not have a stable business ( but he does file ITR every year minimum), and my mom he is a housewife and I have two younger sisters who are currently studying there ( Justification to go back ), Max they can do is around $ 7000 in their account as liquid funds and a 80 K worth apartment and an insurance policy, I can show more money here in my account with a work confirmation letter and salary slips but don't if it does matter or not , what are the chances of them getting the TRV or how should we go about it ?
